Rates & Insurance

I believe in being up-front about the cost of your care so we can focus on the work that matters. My rates are transparent and consistent with professional standards for counselling in Alberta.

  • Standard Individual Session: $200 (50 minutes)

  • Credentials: Registered Counselling Therapist with ACTA and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the CCPA.

The "Rural Outreach" Sliding Scale

​

I understand the unique financial pressures that come with running a small business or working in the agricultural community in rural Alberta. I reserve a limited number of spots for a sliding scale rate for clients without insurance coverage or those facing financial hardship. Please reach out to me directly to discuss an arrangement that works for your situation.

Insurance & Reimbursement

​

While direct billing is not available at this time, my services are recognized by most major insurance providers in Alberta. Many clients find that their sessions are 80–100% covered by their employer benefits.

How the Process Works

​

  1. Payment: You pay for your session at the time of service via e-transfer or credit card.

  2. Invoice: I immediately provide you with a professional, itemized invoice (receipt). This document contains all necessary details, including my ACTA and CCC registration numbers.

  3. Submission: You simply upload that invoice to your insurance provider’s app or portal.

  4. Reimbursement: Most providers (like Blue Cross or Sun Life) will reimburse you directly via direct deposit within a few business days.

Common Providers That Cover CCC/ACTA:

The following list is not exhaustive, but these providers frequently reimburse for my designations:

  • Alberta Blue Cross / ASEBP

  • Sun Life

  • Manulife

  • Canada Life

  • Green Shield

  • Equitable Life

  • Desjardins

Important: Every plan is different and coverage is not limited to the list above. I highly recommend checking with your provider ahead of time to confirm that your specific plan covers a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) or a Counselling Therapist registered with ACTA.

Payment & Cancellation

  • Payment Methods: I accept e-transfer and all major credit cards.

  • Cancellation Policy: If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice. This allows me to offer that time to another person who may need it. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the full rate.
